Hi Peter how goes it?
I am doing a Kettlebell course in Belfast this week. Next year, a local Kettlebell coach is bringing over a chap called Vasiliys Ginko, who is 7 times world champion in KB lifting. I have no experience of him, and a lot of the stuff online about him is from his own website!
However, I was wondering if you thought their might be any interest in anyone in the Weightlifting community over here doing a KB qualification? I thought about posting it on the forums, but I thought I'd check first. Here is the e-mail I got. Any thoughts welcome:
"Vasiliys Ginko shall be returning to Ireland to coach the Level 1 IKSA- IUKL GS course. The course will take place in Belfast on the 27th and 28th of February 2010.
Vasiliys is a recognised 7 time World Champion who has a lifetime of coaching practice and real world experience in competition. He is open and willing to share his knowledge with all those sportsmen and sportswomen interested in understanding pure strength development for long term health.
The IKSA and IUKL are the only Kettlebell organisations to be backed by TAFISA who are overseen by the IOC. The Level 1 course will give you a solid understanding of all aspects of Girevoy Sports. Taught in a proven and well structured format, the exercises and coaching methods are authentic and practised in the homeland of the sport.
All of the major competition lifts will be covered, including:
In addition, relevant supplemental exercises for evolving the strength endurance needed for Girevoy Sports will also be covered."
