Hey guys, I know some of you personally, and others to see... I've been lurking here for the last couple of weeks and have to say I'm very impressed with not only the lifting, but also the desire to develop weightlifting in Ireland.

I'll probably contiune to lurk and not say much, but I will be reading with interest.

Oh and for the record, my current PR's are an ugly 80/105 done at the unofficial Hercules Club Championships last weekend. They were power snatches/cleans and a weird bastardised push press/jerk, done at mid 90kg's... I had been down just to spot and load for the powerlifting and ended up jumping in while everyone was starting the weightlifting warm ups. I competed in track suit bottoms and pumas and hadn't done any of the lifts for about 3 months so I was fairly happy!

I guess the goal for the next year is to put some work in and go for a bodyweight power snatch and 120-130 powerclean. We'll see...

Anyway, hello again to all!!

Well, I did that much, front squatted 147.5kg x5 and back squatted 200kg x5 with 10kg or so in the tank.

120kg clean in Feb 08 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-9L3Irb4d0

Power cleaned it a few months ago (funnily enough they're 2 of the 3 sessions in the entire year when I did some oly lifts!!!)

None of the other stuff really happened. I had a big year with the powerlifting last year and am due an even bigger one next year. After that I can FINALLY decide to stop being so afraid of losing PL strength and take a serious shot at some weightlifting. I'm hoping to spent the best part of 2010 at it in preparation for the London games in 2012 Laughing Laughing Laughing

Goals for '09 are a 130-140kg clean/powerclean.
